O sonho de ser médico foi acalentado desde os 11 anos de
idade. Porém, nem a previsão mais otimista diria que Virlei Primo Júnior, indígena
pertencente à etnia Guarani Nhandewa, oriundo da Terra Indígena Laranjinha, no
município paranaense de Santa Amélia, receberia o diploma de curso de Medicina.
Hoje, aos 31 anos, o sonho se concretizou. Virlei é o primeiro médico indígena
a se graduar pela Universidade Estadual de Maringá e, nesta quinta-feira, dia
26, será um dos formandos na solenidade de antecipação de colação de grau para
o curso de Medicina. A cerimônia terá a presença de Mário Raulino Sampaio, liderança
indígena na Terra Yvy Porá, entre os municípios paranaenses de Santa Amélia e
Abatiá.
