UEM realiza eventos sobre estudos medievais
Documentário de Dom Jaime será lançado nesta sexta-feira
Será lançado, nesta sexta-feira (24), o vídeo “Jaime. Uma história de fé e empreendedorismo”, que conta a trajetória de um dos personagens mais influentes de Maringá e região: Dom Jaime Luiz Coelho. O documentário traz relatos de momentos valiosos para a história da cidade e da Igreja Católica. Os entrevistados narram episódios sobre a construção da Catedral; a fundação da primeira faculdade de Maringá, que depois se tornaria a UEM; a luta contra o comunismo e a defesa dos pequenos produtores rurais; seu trabalho com os meios de comunicação; entre outros.
Alunos apresentam trabalhos na SBPC
Três alunos da UEM foram selecionados para apresentarem trabalhos em forma de pôster na Jornada de Iniciação Científica na 61ª Reunião Anual da Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência, realizada de 12 a 17 deste mês, em Manaus. Os trabalhos foram contemplados no ano passado durante o Encontro Anual de Iniciação Científica (Eaic). A viagem e a estadia deles foram custeadas pela UEM.
Fórum Parfor será em Maringá
Maringá sediará o Fórum Parfor das Licenciaturas em Música da Região Sul no dia 1º de agosto. As atividades serão realizadas das 8h30 ao meio-dia e das 13h30 às 18 horas, no auditório da Fadec, na UEM. A intenção é discutir ações pedagógico-musicais e atender às determinações do Decreto 6.755, de 29/1/09, que trata sobre a implantação de uma Política Nacional de Formação de Profissionais do Magistério da Educação Básica. Além disso, o evento debaterá diretrizes para a construção de projetos pedagógicos para a implementação da segunda licenciatura dos cursos de música da região Sul, conforme prevê o Plano de Ações Articuladas, a partir do Parecer CNE/CP 8/2008, que regulamenta o Art. 62 da Lei 9.394/96.
Livro sobre influência britânica na região será lançado na UEM
O arquiteto, professor e pesquisador da UEM, Renato Leão Rego, está lançando, no dia 29 deste mês, o livro ‘As cidades plantadas. Os britânicos e a construção da paisagem do norte do Paraná’. Durante a solenidade, marcada para as 18 horas, no auditório do bloco C-67, na UEM, o autor vai relatar os aspectos pitorescos da história da influência britânica na região e também projetar imagens que ilustram esse período.

Museu de Santo Inácio tem assessoria técnica da UEM
O Museu Histórico de Santo Inácio (MHSI), inaugurado nesta quinta-feira (16), na cidade de Santo Inácio, cerca de 100 km de Maringá, tem assessoria técnica da UEM. Durante a solenidade de inauguração, a secretaria de Cultura de Santo Inácio, Eliane Policarpo Barretos, falou da honra em receber, pela terceira vez, a secretária de Cultura do Paraná, Vera Mussi, que abrilhantou a cerimônia. O vice-reitor Mário de Azevedo destacou a persistência do professor Lúcio Tadeu Mota, da UEM, no levantamento do material arqueológico do museu, assim como o trabalho de organização para apresentação das peças, catalogação das peças. Azevedo ressaltou ainda a cooperação de longa data entre a UEM e a Prefeitura daquele município que tem rendido bons frutos tanto para a Universidade como para Santo Inácio.
Maratona de Revezamento aceita inscrições
A VI Maratona de Revezamento Vanderlei Cordeiro de Lima Pare de Fumar Correndo está com as inscrições abertas até 16 de agosto. A exemplo da edição passada, o evento limitou o número de equipes inscritas a 200. O critério é a ordem de inscrição. A prova será no dia 23 de agosto, com saída prevista para as 9 horas, em frente à Prefeitura de Maringá. Serão premiadas as dez melhores equipes masculinas e as dez melhores femininas.
Museu Histórico de Santo Inácio será inaugurado hoje
Totalmente estruturado, o Museu Histórico de Santo Inácio (MHSI), será inaugurado nesta quinta-feira, dia 16, às 17h30, na cidade de Santo Inácio, cerca de 100 km de Maringá.
O novo museu abrigará um valioso patrimônio arqueológico e histórico, composto por uma importante coleção com cerca de 1.200 peças, entre peças líticas e cerâmicas recolhidas no sitio arqueológico da Redução Jesuítica de Santo Inácio.
Vestibular de Inverno: gabarito oficial sai amanhã
Dos 23.031 candidatos inscritos no Vestibular de Inverno da Universidade Estadual de Maringá, 2.319 foram eliminados porque faltaram a um dos três dias de prova. O número corresponde a 10,07% do total de candidatos
Embora o índice registrado no primeiro dia de prova tenha sido alto (8,8%), a contagem final dos ausentes ficou dentro da média de outros vestibulares, que oscila entre 8% e 13%.
O gabarito oficial da prova será publicado nesta sexta-feira, dia 17, às 14 horas, no site www.vestibular.uem.br.
Evento aborda inovação em Zootecnia até sexta-feira
A 46ª Reunião Anual da Sociedade Brasileira de Zootecnia começou ontem à noite (14). O evento debate, até sexta-feira (17), os avanços e as inovações na área. Durante a solenidade de abertura, no Clube Olímpico de Maringá, o presidente da SBZ, Clóves Cabreira Jobim, fez um balanço do agronegócio no Brasil, destacando o crescimento que deve acontecer até 2010, principalmente nas áreas de carne bovina, leite e plantação de soja e milho. Diz que o Brasil deve se manter em primeiro lugar na exportação de produtos derivados do agronegócio. Jobim, que também é professor da UEM, destacou os quase dois mil trabalhos inscritos e deu as boas-vindas aos presentes em português, inglês, espanhol e francês.
