A UEM realiza o V Simpósio Sul Leite -
Sustentabilidade da Pecuária Leiteira da Região Sul do Brasil, desta
quinta-feira a sábado, 4 a
6, no Parque de Exposições Francisco Feio Ribeiro. O tema central é Sistemas de
Produção Leiteira de Base Familiar como Forma de Fixação do Homem no Campo. Na
solenidade de abertura, o professor Geraldo Tadeu dos Santos, presidente do
congresso, relembrou que o evento é bianual e está na quinta edição. Disse que,
no começo, estava só a UEM, mas hoje outras IES estão envolvidas. Comentou que
essa é uma atividade vinculada ao Centro Mesorregional de Excelência em
Tecnologia do Leite, que a UEM sedia na Fazenda Experimental de Iguatemi. O
coordenador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Zootecnia, Antônio Branco,
parabenizou a organização do evento e a iniciativa do professor Geraldo dos
Santos. O diretor do Centro de Ciências Agrárias, Julio Cesar Damasceno, também
elogiou o evento e sua persistência por já ser a quinta edição. Parabenizou dos
Santos pela experiência e por desenvolver muitos projetos pela UEM e divulgar a instituição.
